He is Ven. Dr Justus Akinwale Omoyajowo. He is the son of Rt. Rev’d Prof. J. A. Omoyajowo. He is married to Imuentinyan (Tinyan for short) who is a Mathematics lecturer at a college in London.
Ven. Dr J. A. Omoyajowo graduated from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) with a B. A. Hons degree in Religious Studies in 1987 and obtained his M.A. degree at the University of Ibadan in 1980. He completed his doctoral studies at the Universitat Bayreuth in Bayreuth (Region of Bavaria) in Germany in February 1999.
Meanwhile between 1990-93, he was privileged to be a member of staff of Archbishop Vining college of Theology, Akure. He was the Church History lecturer, staff librarian and staff chaplain to State Medium Prisons in Akure (in partnership with Mrs Aluko of the Vining college Chapel of the Annunciation) He also served as the secretary of the then Ondo State Prison chaplains (which included now Ekiti State). During that period, He was also assistant curate at St Andrew’s Church, Oyemekun. Akure.
From the autumn of 1993, He joined the teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts (Department of Religious studies) of the then Ondo State University in Ado Ekiti. At the University, I doubled as the Chaplain of the ecumenical Chapel Chapel of Grace, till February 1995 when He left for further post graduate studies in Bayreuth, Germany.
I have since domiciled in Great Britain as priest of the Church of England, Anglican Communion where He served in various capacities including chaplaincies and parochial offices.
He is a member of several professional bodies/organizations and have attended and participated in several national and international conferences, workshops and seminars with papers presented at some of them.
